How to add a Tumblr account to the FS Poster

Option 1: Use the FS Poster Standard App to add your account;

Option 2: Create your personal App and add your accounts using the personal App;

Option 3: Use the email&pass method to add your account to the plugin.

1. Use the FS Poster Standard App to add your account.

To add your Tumblr account to the plugin, please follow the steps below:

1. Go to FS Poster > Accounts > Tumblr menu;

2. Click the ADD ACCOUNT button. It will use the Standard App by default and that App is hidden. You do not need to check the “Use a custom App”, if you do not have one;

3. Click the GET ACCESS button within the opened window and allow access to your Tumblr account;

4. Activate communities.

2. Create your personal App and add your accounts using the personal App

- Go to the Tumblr Developers page, and click the API link.

- On the next page, scroll down a bit and click on the "register an application" link:

- The registration form will appear on the following page, and it's needed to fill in the required field, specify your application name, website, default callback URL, etc.: Do not use the examples in the image and confirm you are not a robot and click on "Register button:

- You can copy your website callback URL from the FS Poster APP menu > Tumblr tab:

- That is all. Your App will be created, and you can copy the App key and Secret key:

- Go to the FS Poster APP menu > Tumblr tab to add your App to the plugin.

- Then go to the FS Poster Accounts menu > Tumblr tab;

- Click the ADD ACCOUNT button, select the App method, check the “Use a custom App”, select your App from the select box, and click the "GET ACCESS" button, and authorize your Tumblrt account;

3. Use the email&pass method to add your account to the plugin.

To add your Tumblr account to the plugin using the email&pass method, please follow the steps below:

1. Go to FS Poster > Accounts > Tumblr menu;

2. Click the ADD AN ACCOUNT button;

3. Select the email&pass method, fill in your Tumblr account credentials, and click the GET ACCESS button;

4. Activate the account to share your posts.

If your server is located in Europe, Tumblr may ask you to agree to its Privacy Policy. Therefore, log in to your Tumblr account on a browser with a VPN from the country where your server is located and accept the terms of Tumblr.
